He plays here on a MODIFIED baritone, it is soprano tuned G-C-E-A and has a low G. Glen is trying to get a broader range of notes. I am glad he's doing this work in standard soprano tuning because that is the most prevalent tuning. I have two main players that are both concert sized instruments, one is standard high-G and the other is low-G. I think every one should have atleast one of each!

Glen Rose presents: A Jazzy Ukulele Workshop
Learn to play those favorite old Standards on the ukulele with real jazz chords. Jazz up your basic ukulele playing by learning new chord shapes and strums which create that rich jazz sound. Glen Rose is a professional jazz musician, college music teacher and author of three Jazzy Ukulele books. This class will show you basic, useful jazz chord patterns that professional jazz players use. The ability to play simple bar chords or be willing to try is all that is necessary. The class will follow the concepts of the Jazzy Ukulele Workbook.
If you took this class last year… you might enjoy a brush up. Also a lot of new material and concept will be presented that wasn’t in last year’s workshop. It’s designed to be easier than it was before.
$20 (cash please) for the 90 minute workshop. Participants will also need to purchase the Jazzy Ukulele Workbook. $13 or $11 downloaded on- line at http://www.jazzyukulele.com/
