These are amazingly beautiful. Rick shares a lifetime love of instrument making and the creative aspects which make his ukuleles stand out. Very engaging...
I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.

L.A. Luthier Offers 4 Day Course to Build Your Own Ukulele
I received an e-mail from, Harold Osmer requesting that I post information about an upcoming ukulele building class in Southern California. I see that Rick Turner, a frequent participant at the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz' dining entertainment will be guiding students in the assembly. Click on the picture below to see the cost and dates more clearly. It looks like this is a 4 day workshop for $400 and you have your own new uke when you're finished...

==> Be sure to fully inquire on the specifics. I am only passing along information and have not done this workshop myself previously.
