Brudda IZ Beautiful || White Sandy Beach

I have gotten away from Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I have several of his albums and enjoy each one. He talks about Hawaii, being Hawaiian, Loss, his personal faith, and he seemed to be quite the joker. His voice and laughter resonate in his beautiful songs. I like the simplicity of this video. It is shot from just a few angles with the beach and island mountains in the distance. Brudda IZ was a brother to us all.

I found these videos all on http://www.youtube.com/user/peasefrawg downloads. You might find some more treasures there.

"IZ" ISRAEL KAMAKAWIWO'OLE

I have several of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's albums. Charm is a word I think I use fairly often in my descriptions concerning ukulele people. Iz had that warm voice and silliness about him and it carried through in his songs. I think that he had a way of blending Hawaiian song with popular songs so that Hawaiian music became more accessible and appreciated on the mainland. Perhaps this even contributed to the latest renaissance of the ukulele.
This video has many snapshots of Iz, as he was growing up, his family, and awesome images of Hawaii. I think this is the best compilation that I've seen on YouTube.
