I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.

Who are the Polyjesters?

They write, play, produce, distribute their own CD's. You can hear some at this site... http://www.jukeboxalive.com/polyjesters/
Since there's a Baritone predominantly played in the band I have also posted a few of their videos from You Tube on a Humble Baritonics posting, here http://humblebaritonics.blogspot.com/2010/08/polyjesters-manjura.html. There are (3) albums with sample soundclips on CD baby for those interested in hearing more.

Sheldon also has a very beautiful baritone that looks to be custom made.

Jennifer fom Canada...
Sometimes you find a simple video on YT and then dig a little deeper. Above is Jennifer's YouTube channel and as of this posting she has posted (19) videos. I really liked her selection of songs. Some were off the beaten path of so many over posted songs and that's what I like most. She also has the ukeriffic-geeky tee-shirt thing going on that I've come to admire. Find the Pebbles and Bam-Bam band tee.
