I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I've not been the biggest fan of the stuff that Jake plays, Jeff, but saying that I'm hugely impressed by the performances on this video would be an understatement on a galactic level, and I've now been won over. If this doesn't put paid to the silly notion I've heard nosed about in Ukulele Land, to wit that there is someone out there in Ukulele Land better than Jake, then nothing will. I've only two words for this talk - rub bish.
