THIS IS JUST GOOD STUFF sans UKULELE (no uke)
I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
Who doesn't like Mr. Sandman and La Vie en Rose?
ReplyDeleteThere's a very nice La Vie en Rose on the CD
Cou Cou by the Los Angeles group, Les Zazous. No
videos of them though. There seem to be a number
of groups around the world with that name, so be careful. And Dr. Uke posted an arrangement just this past January.
And speaking or names, when did individual artists
start giving themselves plural names, Jeff?
And names like Danielle Ate (whatever it is she ate)? Is this a uke thing or just a generic new
thing? What ever happened to individuals using
their actual, real names? Granted, Bettina Slumpinsky doesn't have the same ring to it as
Bettina Rules the Universe...
