I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
EcoDougie is on a roll again. Keeping me up on my surfing-toes. Here is a Carbon-FiberBlackbird Ukulele which has a unique shape and sound hole. As I was watching this video I said what a shame he's wearing a black shirt, then 'poof' the shirt is blue and the shape ofthe ukulele really pops out.
Pretty awesome... how much?I have also seen some beautiful Martin-shaped carbon-fiber ukuleles at Mike DaSilva's shop in Berkeley. I think that they sold quite quickly.www.ukemaker.com
