BELGIUM || Herman Vandecauter || Classical Style Ukulele

Very smooth classical style ukulele playing...

The first song has fingering on the g-string which reminds me of Gensblue's walking bass.

Peaceful...

  1. Haleakala Pentatonic Fantasy - The piece, the playing, & the Bruko ukulele come together to produce (to these ears)a Japanese Koto-like sound, & quite moving it is.

The three jigs translate very well to the ukulele.
This doesn't always happen, & usually I believe in keeping tunes on the instruments they were written for, i.e. leave the dance tunes to say, the fiddle & harp, & the ragtime pieces to the piano, but in this case the results are splendid.

The Weiss scenic nature video is lovely. My own favorite nature video set to classical music - Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis by Ralph Vaughan Williams - is posted on Youtube as -

River Torridge - Fantasia On A Theme.

These ten minutes will sweep you away, a perfect way to end the day (after communing with the ukulele, of course).
