Here's a vintage treat video: Gracie Allen Plays the Ukulele in this movie clip. Jean from the Berkeley Ukulele Club sent me this little treasure. Enjoy, HU
I have a vintage photo of Gracie Allen playing the Ukulele with a rose stem in her mouth.

I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
I felt the same way about Eleanor Powell this morning as when I was a youngster. Holy cow, that much energy and that much grace don't usually show up in the same package. The whole number was blessed by good choreography and good photography. Nice find, Magic Jeff!
ReplyDeleteThe credit for sharing this goes to Jean E. from the Berkeley Ukulele Club. She found it first and sent me the link. Glen Rose also mentioned to me that he liked this video.
