I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.

Keonepax || Honky Cat (Elton John Cover)
Perhaps the only song where the kazoo actually enhanced the song. I am not a fan of the kazoo but it fit perfectly here. I grew up listening to Elton John, the lyrics are the most perplexing, although songs are quite catchy.

Keonepax || Rainy Day
A beautiful rainy day song. I have liked Keonepax since seeing his solo-duet with himself on screen playing Yellow Bird. This is a sweet and meditative song...

Keonepax has compiled a pictorial view of the history of man. There are many images of glory and dismay. Bolero was a fitting background to the images. The end of the video is an image of a day in which the world was transformed by hatred. There is a great Western slant to the video. I wonder in what other ways might we see historical records of the history of man. Why is there so much emphasis on war in history? Thanks John.
