Any ukulele fan of "Doctor Who" deserves a post! I just saw a full-size Dalek poster at the DeAnza Flea Market in Cupertino, California today -- Woohoo! For those uninitiated to The Doctor, you are missing a show that blends science fiction, history, art, drama, love, aliens, monsters, and a bunch more into a whirlwind of improbable, imaginative and dangerous adventures. It's BBC and it's grand. The show has been going on for decades and the leading man is changed every few years. Now that sounds like a recipe for disaster but... well, you'll just have to check it out for yourself.
I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
