I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. Karla & Khoi from the Corner Laughers play their acoustic version of the Ultraviolet Garden track at the legendary 12 Bar Club while on tour in England w/ Anton Barbeau.
This song is a big production on the album (recommended), with vocals, ukulele, percussion, acoustic guitar, electric guitars, bass, piano, harpsichord, organ, and drums. When I saw that Khoi had posted this video of the two of them, I wondered how the song would translate to just the two instruments, but they've pulled it off. HU comes through (again) with some well deserved exposure.
