I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.

My Dutch... I went to school for 3 years to learn it and can proudly say that i even do my own taxes in dutch. (Which means i've learned to cuss in dutch as well.)
So your family is swedish. You ever come over to Sweden? Can you yodel? Oh, wait a minute. I think that's Switzerland. But i'd like to know if you can yodel anyway. ;0)

@Shelly - Dutch has many words like Swedish and some sounds like German. I am confused to why there's Holland, Dutch and Netherlands? Why are they so different and refering to the same country?
Yodeling? I have thought about it but have never gone much beyond "lit-tle-old-la-dy-whoo" I was in Sweden in 1979 for a month in Norrbotten Lan way up north.
The San Francisco Bay Area is full of Art and many, many Artists. We have open art studios and communities. My wife does ceramics from molds and I think her quite the talented artist, painter, stained glass maker, tiler.
