I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
Digging through the depths of Youtube, I just discovered The Rinky Dinks: Bristol's First Ukulele Super Group, with an emphatic emphasis on Super. Start with their video, I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor, and discover one of the very best multi-uke groups around (and visit their MySpace page while you're at it), and as far as I'm concerned I haven't heard any English multi-uke band more exciting than the RDs, and that includes you-know-who.

Now they've been around a while, so why haven't I heard of them from any of my favorite big-time ukulele blogs? Utterly unbelievable.
