It appears Ukulele Disco has performed a long-term disappearing act. Oh where or where has Jason gone?
I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
At the beginning of my ukulele world adventures,
ReplyDeleteMidnight Ukulele Disco was one of my very first experiences. So much music all in one spot. My favorite Sweet Soubrette tune/video is Cut Up done with circus band back-up. Also, this is my favorite photo of her. And if tenderness didn't have teeth, it wouldn't hurt so much.
So, who needs New York? Surely the Bay Area ukulele scene (expanded a bit geographically, perhaps) is rich & diverse enough to have its own Ukulele Caravan-type shows & post the videos.
