My friend, Terry C., from Australia sent me this video of some old-time ukulele style. There's a bit of a history provided in the YouTube sidebar that you might enjoy. Terry has a YouTube channel "BEARETUBE" that celebrates the classical ukulele charms and skills.
This video is not the clearest but the old-style strumming is so endearing to fans of the ukulele. What a pleasure it is to enjoy producing music with this humble little instrument. There is a quick flicker of a strum that is being played that looks like a lightning fast tremor/flick of the wrist. Does anybody know what the name of that strum technique is? Is it the proverbial JUMPING FLEA stroke?
