I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
That looks like a cool piece of kit. Like an upmarket Islander Chord Master. I wonder if you'd be able to produce more chords by pressing more than one key at once.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to come up with some rational for the order of the keys. Can't see any.
yes, you can produce additional chords by pressing multiple keys.
ReplyDeletealso, if you remove the metal cover and watch the levers when you press a key, I suspect you will find that the "fretted" notes do not correspond to their corresponding pictured chord diagrams!
ReplyDelete(the ones I have cross checked "show" a ukulele chord but "play" that corresponding chord in guitar tuning. i.e., key #1 "shows" a uke "F" but "plays" a guitar "F" chord.)

ReplyDeleteI don't have one of these. Try contacting Gryphon Strings in Palo Alto, California. They are a top of the line shop and have incredible knowledge. Jeff
