Look for http://www.fingerstyleuke.com/ in the future
I wanted to create this blog as a place where I can store and retrieve information for future reference. I chose the name Humble Uker Ramblings because I have started out strumming my father's 1950's painted Harmony ukulele. I think that the greatest appeal of the ukulele as "the people's instrument" is it's humble simplicity. My contact email is HumbleUker@gmail.com. I have also been working on a blog for the Baritone Ukulele called Humble Baritonics.
I just stumbled upon Rob a short while ago, & to me he's the John Renbourn of the ukulele (even vaguely looking like JR). His playing provides inspiration & a "career path" of sorts for those of us toiling away at learning fingerpicking in a uke world obsessed with strumming. And his new sites, fingerstyleuke.com, celticuke.com, & baroqueuke.co.uk are up & running now.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteRob has several books being released by Mel Bay this month. His book on Gaspar Sanz arrangements is already out. I'm going to the music store this weekend to see if they have it yet.
