TAB-U-LEARN / DOMINATOR TABS

Doris Day Ukulele
---
I was googling for Baritone ukulele tablature and found this new site, Tab-U-Learn. It happens to be created by another Australian. He happens to write tablature for (gCEA) Ukulele, (DGBE) Baritone Ukulele and also Harmonica. He says that his tabs are stepping stone for those not quite ready for Dominator's tabs. He has several different genres tabbed out. There is a lot to check out.

For those who want to see Dominator's advanced tabs, look here...
And there's also my buddy, Alistair Wood's, Ukulele Hunt...

Sue Graziano / My Favorite Uke Playin' Scandanavian Librarian! and "Sons of the Beach"

Photo in Honor of the "Sons of the Beach" Santa Cruz, CA gathering

Sue Graziano, let me know about this special library item. Is this a social commentary or an epidemic? Take a look. Sue recommends this policy for my library.

KIWI UKULELE STRUMS

Well, I've investigated Australia, why not New Zealand? I bought this well crafted book and it is clearly one of the best books that I have. http://www.kiwiukulele.co.nz/book.html

HOW TO EXTRACT AN mp3 FROM YOUTUBE

G. Formby Actor och ukulele spelar!

The man with all the answers, Alistair Wood, strikes again with another tid-bit of useful information. I wanted to be able to practice songs that I hear on YouTube and download them to my mp3 player for easy retreival when praticing with others. Go to this site: http://listentoyoutube.com/ The directions are quite easy. HU

JANET SEIDEL / MOON of MANAKOORA

A possible addition to the ukulele players musical library is Janet Seidel's Moon of Manakoora album. Janet provides a very sweet and smooth vocal along with her piano playing. Chuck Morgan plays UKULELE and guitars. There's also bass and percussion in her jazz ensemble.

I would love to have all of the album songs in our club music library... Somehow, by pasting the song names below, the mp3's attached themselves (abrreviated versions, not complete songs). So check it out for yourself.

NELLIE McKAY with a Martin Ukulele

The wonderful Nellie McKay sings "Mother of Pearl" (with the immortal first line "Feminists don't have a sense of humor") and "If I Had You" from her sparkling set at TED2008.

Tonight You Belong To Me

Father and the sweetest little girl... (I guess I am a sentimental sap! I am a sucker for little girls with pony-tails, my little one is now 23.)

[Note to dad: I love the uke, but the solo is too long, Jade really is "the Show". Thanks for the video. www.ukulele123.com]

I found Steve Martin & Bernadette Peters in "The Jerk" Lyle Ritz plays the ukulele sountrack. You will need to click on this link to see it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI8NuFAETMQ It is the best part of the movie!

HAYLEY LEGG / AUSTRALIA

Well, it seems that I have been finding Australians lately. This young lady, Hayley, has a beautiful voice and has used her guitar skills to pick up the ukulele very quickly. She has two songs that I really enjoyed...
