This is a term that is missing from the local music vocabulary. I have gone through times in my life where I would try bargain CD’s from the local Rasputin’s music store or Flea Market. I bought a Folk Music compilation CD. The music was really terrific so I tried to find the albums for various artists that appealed to me.
I have written about the internet radio station http://www.live365.com/ before and now I’ve found a new station called Folk Alley. This station plays quite a range of music. I have heard my old favorite Jackson Browne doing a few short stories followed by acoustic versions of his songs. Eric Bibb, one of my Blues favorites has been played. But one song that exemplifies the depth of this station was a duet with Rosanne Cash and her father, called September When It Comes….
